7 months old!!!!

Colt and Liam are now 7 months old today, I so can’t believe it.

Colt has learned to do a lot this month. He learned to pull himself to his knees later on in the day he turned 6 months old. He started crawling a lil, 1 day after he was 6 months old, and a few days after that he was crawling all over the place. By 6/1/2 months old he was pulling himself to a stand, and he was also crawling upstairs, and a crawling downstairs also, he also learned to stand with help, while someone is holding onto just one of his hands, and he can stay up for quite awhile, when he wants too at least lol. He can also cruise along the furniture quite well. He also can now wave and clap, hold his own bottle, he can throw a small ball (pretty well and to someone), he’s also started responding to his name. And just yesterday he pointed at Max and said his first word (which was Max, although it sounded a bit more like Mac, lol). Max was thrilled and said “Hey mom Colt said my name, he said his first word and it was my name, that is the coolest thing ever.” It was so adorable, :D. Now that Colt is very mobile he is into everything lol, and is being very mischievous, he is such a lil trouble maker lol, my tiny lil trouble maker.

Liam hasn’t learned all that much this month, but I think that’s cuz he’s letting Colt take the spotlight for now, lol, but he did learn to roll over from back to tummy at 6 months, 2 weeks and so now he is rolling all over the place. And now that he is mobile he doesn’t like to be held as much as he used too, which is sad in a way, but i’m also glad he is learning to be a bit more independent, :D. The other day he was on his tummy and watching Colt and looking like he was thinking really hard, like hey I wonder if I can do that, and then just earlier today he was really trying to belly crawl, but hasn’t quite been able to figure it out yet, but I’m sure once he thinks about it long and hard he’ll eventually get it. Liam is def. my thinker, lol, and is more serious then Colt, and he likes to take his time before trying new things, he’s my cautious lil guy. Liam still only likes watching the Baby Einstein videos, and still doesn’t pay attention when other lil kid shows are on. He lasted 10 minutes when I stood him up about a week ago, but most of the time it’s still only about 5 or 6 minutes that he lasts before he screams to get down, lol.

Colt is now 15 pounds and 25 inches and Liam is 17 pounds and 27 inches. Liam is still 2 pounds heavier and 2 inches taller then Colt is, that hasn’t changed this month like it has for the past 4 months.

Colt is still in size 3 to 6 month old clothes, but Liam is now in size 6 to 9 month old clothes and has been since about 6/1/2 months.

  1. At eighteen you can afford to buy a million dollar house, get married, and raise three children with another on the way? The average interest on a house costing more than $750,000 (a jumbo loan) is a bit less than $5,000 a month (with a down payment of 20%) NOT including property taxes. That means you would need to earn AT LEAST $200,000 a year (to make the payment plus taxes, obviously). You guys are fresh out of high school and can make that much? That's not including baby expenses for your soon-to-be four kids (your son's private school, prenatal care, a wedding, ect.)

Have your two-year old do the math. It just doesn't make sense.

I'm sorry, but can you please explain this to me? Personally, I don't know any teen mothers who have these finances. I may very well be confused about all this (I'm only sixteen so my math might be off), but I'm just wondering.

  2. My husband's parents put the down payment on our house and so that saved us a lot of money. My husband and i have alot of money saved up, as both of us have been making money since we were really young, and we get money every year from family that we have saved up too. And my finace has a job and once he finshes college (which should be by May 2011) he'll have an even better paying job, and i work sometimes too (as a babysitter). So for now we have the money saved that we will need and after my fiance finishes college we should have enough coming in. We have lot's of help from family and friends with some of our finaces, like Max's private school is being paid for by in-laws, our wedding was paid for my parents, and both sets of parents helped us out by buying baby things when Max and the twins were born and so we have all that covered. It may seem unbelieveable, but it is all true, we have great families who are willing to help us out whenever we may need it or whenever they just want to help out.

Sorry it took so long for me to comment, but I just haven't been on here in so long as I have been very busy.
