Colt and Liam are now 6 months old today, they are growing up so fast, it seems like I just had them yesterday and now they are already a half a year old.
Colt can now belly crawl like a champ, he started belly crawling 2 days after him and Liam turned 5 months old, so he’s had almost a month to perfect it and he has lol, he’s so fast at belly crawling. He can also now sit up on his own for as long as he wants, just started that about a week ago, and he also started getting up onto his hands and knees a few days ago, so he’s getting ready for regular crawling now, lol, oh boy, then I’m really gonna be in trouble lol. A few weeks ago when I had him standing up, with me holding both of his hands (which he loves to do), he stayed standing for about a half hour, lol he wouldn’t let me sit him down cuz he was having too much fun standing up, most of the time before that he’d want to sit down after a few minutes, and about 10 minutes was the longest he’d latest before that, and know he loves standing up for awhile at a time, esp. when we are watching TV. He still loves watching Blue’s Clues, and gets so excited when it comes on. When the TV isn’t on (which it isn’t most of the time) he would rather be down on the floor belly crawling or sitting or trying to crawl the regular way. He has also now learned how to get himself into a sitting position, by first getting up onto his hands and knees and then folding his legs under and pushing himself up, it takes him a lil bit, but he can do it, he just did it today for the first time, and has done it 3 times already today.
Liam just started liking to have me stand him up for a few minutes at a time a few days after he was 5 months old, before that if I tried to stand him up he’d scream lol. He can last about 5 to 6 minutes before he wants to sit down. At about 5/1/2 months old he learned to turn himself around in a circle on his belly, and then a day later he learned to do it on his back too. He also can now roll over from tummy to back, which he just mastered 3 days ago. He’s already been trying to roll over from back to tummy as well, but hasn’t mastered that as of yet. Liam also started babbling about a week or so after they turned 5 months old, and now he’s really into having a “conversation” lol, he’ll babble something, and then I’ll say something to him (or whomever he is “talking” too) and he’ll babble back, it’s so cute. And sometimes he’ll just keep babbling like he’s telling me a story or something. And sometimes Liam and Colt will babble back and forth with each, which is really adorable. Liam has really gotten into watching the Baby Einstein videos, just a few weeks ago he really started paying attention to them. They are the only thing he really pays attention to, he doesn’t pay attention when anything else is on TV, lol.
Colt is now 14 pounds and 24.5 inches and Liam is 16 pounds and 26.5 inches. Liam is still steadily gaining more weight and height then Colt, and so he is now 2 pounds and 2 inches bigger.
Colt is in 3 to 6 months old clothes, and has been since just about when he was 5 months old. Liam has been in size 3 to 6 month old clothes since about 4 months old, and soon he’ll prolly be fitting into 6 to 9 month old clothes.
