Colt and Liam are now 5 months old today, oh wow!!!
Colt can now roll over from back to front (started doing it at 18 weeks old). He is very good at rolling over both ways and will roll himself to get to where he wants to go, which is usually to get closer to where Max is playing, or to get into trouble lol. Now that he is mobile he doesn’t like staying in the swing or bouncy seat as much as he used too, but he does still like the excersaucer, although his fav thing is playing on the floor so he can roll lol. He is also trying to belly crawl (started that at 20 weeks old), and a couple days ago he actually moved himself forward a lil bit, and now he kinda creeps forward (he’ll go forward a bit, stop and then move again, and he goes very slowly, that’s why I call it creeping lol. So he’s not too far off from being able to belly crawl, I think he’ll be belly crawling within a few days, as he’s getting a bit faster at the creeping lol.
Liam can sit up well with help, and likes being sat up to look around for a few mins. at a time, then he gets mad lol and wants to be held or laid down. He can now grab and hold onto toys at least most of the time. He can also hold himself up with his arms, and he now enjoys tummy time for a whole 20 mins. or so now before he gets upset. He hasn’t yet started rolling over, or moving himself in a circle, but since he likes tummy time now I think it’ll prolly only be a few weeks or so before he starts doing more.
Colt is now 12 pounds, 8 ounces and 23.5 inches, and Liam is 14 pounds and 25 inches. So Liam is 1/1/2 pounds and 1/1/2 inches bigger than Colt, lol Liam just keeps gaining on Colt, which makes since cuz Liam eats more and is less active then Colt, :D
Colt is the average size of a 2.5 month old, so he’s tiny for his age, and even tiny for his adjusted age (which is about 4 months). Liam is the average size of a 4 month old, so he’s small for a 5 month old, but right on target for his adjusted age of 4 months.

hey jess, go colt! do u think he is really advanced like max? i think tyler is similar to jake as he is 23 weeks and is up on all fours, not moving forward with hands but 'lunging' himself, also rolls all over the place and started at 14 weeks (he rolled for the first time back to tummy at 11 weeks) and gets onto his side and can nearly get into a sitting position. i think this is pretty advanced for his age, cos jake was crawling at 5.5 months, so looks like tyler is right on track to be crawling at 5.5 months too, if he keeps this up, he'll be full on crawling everywhere in a day or 2!!
ReplyDeleteso do you think colt is advanced too? what about liam?

Hey Kahil, :). I think Colt is somewhat advanced yea, not as much as Max, but yea Colt is now officially belly crawling (he started today), whereas Max was already crawling by 5 months old. Liam has yet to roll over, so i think he's gonna be more average, but he also is held more and he sleeps alot more then Colt, so he doesn't have as much oppurtunity to do try things as Colt does. It be interesting to see if Colt starts advancing quickly like Max did, once Max learned one thing he seemed to learn the next thing so fast. And once Liam starts doing things it'll be interesting to see how fast he learns. With Colt though his personality is very similar to Max's, always wanted to go, and always wanting to learn, whereas Liam kinda lays back and watches and observes, then tries stuff when he's good and ready too lol.
ReplyDeleteAnd yea from what u've decribed it sounds like Tyler is pretty advanced too, :D.
